About The Project

The characters, places and events described on this site and within the novel are a combination of truth and fiction. The intention was not to deceive or cause any confusion, but to promote awareness and action on climate change, deforestation, poaching and other threats to the natural world.

Our aim was also to re-introduce people to the world of art and recapture the feeling of the “summer of love”. Above all, we wanted to show that life on Earth has an inner beauty and mystery that is beyond our common understanding.

About the Author

‘The Haymakers Survey’ novel is presented by Billie Shears, a pseudonym for Chrissie Daines, the writer and project manager.

The novel supposes that some of the characters to feature in the first part of the story chose to set up this website on behalf of the Blakesware Set. The characters names are listed at the end of each page on this site.

Chrissie works in communications for central government. She lives in rural Hertfordshire, England with her partner, Mike and their Labrador.

Chrissie is in her forties. Her star sign is Leo. She loves art, nature and The Beatles. Although ‘The Haymakers Survey’ is her debut novel, the work has been subject to peer review. Copyright has been secured on all images featured in the book. It is the first in a trilogy planned for 2008, 2010 and 2012, all designed to present environmental issues from a different perspective and help change behaviours globally on our relationship with the environment.
